Hello, somsom! I’m Kelly. The weather has gotten cooler. The sky is blue, too. I was wondering when the hot weather would go, but these days, the heat has passed and the cool wind blows. It’s a great weather to go around and see the scenery. In the case of bipolar disorder, you have too many thoughts, so using your body to reduce your thoughts helps you manage your illness, and today, I’m going to introduce you to the gym!
I think it was my first time to work out at the gym after entering college. At first, I was hesitant because I didn’t know whether to use equipment, but I just rode the running machine. And I didn’t know the concept of sports bra, so I just wore a bra. I posted about my chest on the other side, and I recommend you to run with a sports bra when running. I didn’t know anything at the time and just ran. ^^
I used the gym from the treadmill, and there was a group program called GX called yoga and diet dance, which was run by the gym, so I used that program, and I remember getting closer to the gym little by little. And there was a free PT that the gym offered me three times for 20 minutes each, so I got used to it as I gradually expanded it to the machine. Also, I asked the trainers there and asked them how to do this, and they gradually got used to the movement. I didn’t think about getting a PT because the PT was expensive.
Then I went to work later (and it was free). Luckily, the facilities were a little bit poor, but the director was a little older and wanted me to look a little stronger, so I learned the dumbbells, how to use the Smith machine, etc. because he watched the exercise for free. I stumbled across it and was taught by him several times by chance. It used to be in the neighborhood, but it’s gone now, I don’t know where it went. Then, over the next few years, I spent several years poring over the place, paying several teachers for it. Each teacher had different teaching methods, which all worked for me. Now I am able to exercise without getting hurt, and I can do it anywhere I go, just with the dumbbells and the baubles.
I’m not a very professional athlete, but if I recommend a routine when I go to the gym, I warm up my body for about 10 minutes using the treadmill. It warms up my body so that I don’t get hurt. And I use the big muscles first. It’s about doing the lower body first. I recommend squats. It’s good to do it on a machine, and I recommend doing squats on a rack or a Smith machine. When you do squats, make sure to hold abdominal pressure, and I know that taking protein from the middle of muscle training is more effective for muscle formation, so I do that a lot of times in my case.
And since I’m at the rack, I’ve done deadlift exercises that help my lower body and upper body at the same time as a routine. When I’m at the rack, I prefer to do all-in-one (because it’s annoying to move around, and I went to a crowded gym, so there’s a lot of competition for seats ^^;) Five sets of squats / five sets of deadlift / Then five sets of upper body exercise bench press / five sets of military press / And hanging from the rack 1 minute 5 sets + stretching with abdominal exercise + foam roller + (I ran on days where I had energy) I once tried to do it at the gym four times a week.
On days when I was tired of doing that, I also went on a routine that I did by moving machines. I made a schedule by referring to the book (I ask my coach to look at it when I get apt), and there are routines in books like Kim Myung-seop’s gym class, and there are a lot of other gym books, so I refer to that and it was also in gym cafes. I think I did about six machines a day. Basically, I keep 15 times*3 to 5 sets of breathing. When I do lower body exercises, I always hold my abdominal pressure and be careful not to hurt my knees.
But I did that, and for your information, it’s generally warm-up – lower body – cool-down / warm-up – upper body – cool-down. In my case, I did this all-in-one when I went to a gym with good facilities and a nice view with a shower, and when competition was fierce over time, and when there was only a lag. ^^; It’s kind of like a full-body suit. And I made sure to install a fitness application to set the break time to 30 seconds to 1 minute so that I could burn my fat. I thought that if it stretched too much, the effect would decrease. I even took a water bottle and drank a lot of water. I heard that the muscles need to be moist to grow well.
Today, we talked about doing muscle workouts at the gym. I hope you enjoy the nice weather to your heart’s content and thank you for reading today 🙂
